Propagating Workshop Booking Form

Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th March 2017

What's included

This fully interactive and practical workshop is designed to equip participants with the skills to raise dahlia plants from tubers and a chance to have a go at their own propagation. You'll take home the results of your work to grow on for your garden including the tubers you have used. Sufficient additional information will be given enabling the plants raised to be grown on to produce high quality blooms for use either commercially or in the home.
After attending one of our enjoyable and informative workshops you will leave with a set of classic dahlia growing skills ... not to mention your cuttings and tubers. Whether you wish to meet new people, learn a new skill, develop an existing one, we teach principles in a relaxed and straightforward manner supporting individuals in making technical choices. We provide all necessary materials & resources (excepting a sharp, preferably, horticultural knife), and we keep group sizes small allowing each participant to have ample time with their tutor.
In each workshop Richard uses his many years of experience to ensure that each participant feels comfortable, has fun and takes away a tray of cuttings and set of skills they can feel proud of.
Each participant will be provided with all the materials needed, results of the workshop will be taken away by participants:
  • four tubers from which cuttings will be taken
  • seed tray
  • compost
  • rooting compound
  • plant labels
  • PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHARP KNIFE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SUITABLE GARDENING KNIFE WE ARE ABLE TO SOURCE ONE FOR YOU. IT WOULD BE A VICTORINOX STANDARD GARDENING KNIFE AND WE WOULD NEED TO KNOW BU MID-FEBRUARY AT THE LATEST.
